Get The Most Out Of Your Class |

The most important thing you can do in the time before your class begins is to be gentle with yourself. Allow yourself to have time out every day to meditate, or to reconnect with your sense of the infinite part of yourself, however you choose to do that. Limit or eliminate intoxicants and stimulants from your diet. Limit or eliminate processed foods. Eat as “close to the plant” as possible. |

A relaxing and simple exercise to flex your “Reiki Muscles” is to sit quietly with your eyes closed and just breathe. Breathe to the bottom of your abdomen. Concentrate on stretching your diaphragm down as far as it can go, and pushing your lower abdomen out as you slowly breathe in. Then, when you feel as though you can’t inhale any more, pause for a second or two, then slowly let your breath out. As you do this consciously contract your diaphragm up to its’ resting position. This exercise is like a massage for all of your internal organs. The action of the diaphragm pushes on your liver, gallbladder, stomach and intestines to squeeze out any stagnant bile, food or digestive products which are stuck in your system. Also, remember to drink plenty of fresh water. The 8, 8oz a day rule is a good place to start. This means WATER, not soft drinks, tea, (even green tea), coffee, etc, WATER. It is up to us, individually to insist that our food is clean, pure and organically and humanely created and processed for our consumption. The bottom line in preparing for your Reiki class, is to live consciously and take care of your body, it is a temple. Don’t litter it. |
